Troubleshooting

Resolve common Client Calm setup, role, menu, and notification issues.

Client still sees a menu item

First confirm the user has the expected role and that you are not logged in as an administrator.

  • Check Users in WordPress to confirm the role.
  • Clear any admin or object cache.
  • Review whether a plugin added a new menu after your last export.

A client cannot access a needed screen

Re-enable the menu item or role permission needed for the task, then retest with the client role.

  • Identify the exact URL or task the client needs.
  • Adjust Menu Manager settings conservatively.
  • Document exceptions for future handoffs.

Possible plugin conflict

If behavior changes after installing another admin customization, security, or performance plugin, test with that plugin disabled on staging.

  • Use staging when possible.
  • Note the plugin name, version, and affected role.
  • Send support a screenshot and steps to reproduce.
